Over 100 years old, a representative merchant house (former ROYA) of Tomo built in the early to late Meiji period.
Renovated old private house hotel located in the national “Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings.

This is a former ROYA, which used to make
rowing equipment for Japanese boats for a living.
Inside the building, there are many rowing tools of
Japanese-style boats left as they were in those days.

The mud walls, pillars, fittings, and massive,
traditional space of the machiya hotel have been preserved
as they were in those days.

Located on the second floor of the turret house building, this room features a “living bedroom” where guests can stay while gazing at the magnificent beams unique to wooden merchant houses.

The bathroom is equipped with the latest “RAKU-YU-” system bathtub, which provides a “moderate stimulation of water flow” to the shoulders and waist to heal both body and mind.

Please enjoy a relaxing time in the “Japanese atmosphere” with the “scenery of a port town” close by.

Our signature dinner course is neither “Japanese Kaiseki” nor “French Course”, but a blend of Japanese and Western styles.

In addition to standard Western breakfast items such as “daily bread” and “bacon and eggs” baked in a Balmuda steam oven toaster, we will offer “Shiomachi Morning”, which includes “seasonal soup” and “Hiroshima hassaku juice” to enjoy the rich taste of the season, and other items that are unique to the Shiomachi Hotel. We will also prepare a “Shiomachi Morning” which includes a variety of unique dishes that are characteristic of Shiomachi Hotel.
