Shiomachi Hotel has opened on August 8, 2019 at Tomonoura, the oldest port town in Japanese history. Renovated an old Ro-ya wooden house built back in Meiji-era as a merchant house [ROYA meaning house making rowing pedals for boats] , it changed into a new and essential lodgment to provide our visitors the feeling of merging into the local livelihood and culture at Tomonoura.
Our facility consists of two buildings, Main House with 2 stories and a Cottage. The main building with a gable roof using traditional Japanese tiles has two types of guest rooms; - luxuriously made guest rooms with a patio and semi-open-air cypress bath - Twin-Bed style guest rooms Total of four rooms (12 guests total) equipped with a cafe bar.
The rooms provides you comfort and design of modern life. At the same time, you can feel the heritage of original ROYA of the old days from the historic atmosphere created by the large beams, beautifully finished materials and tasteful fixtures.
Two types of Guest Rooms. Shiomachi Hotel is limited to only four groups a day.

Serving the following items - Special sea-bream Burger using sea-bream a noted product of Tomonoura - Seasonal Galette - Shiomachi Blend Coffee (sensitively blended) - Original beverages - Chef's today's special sweets.
At the relaxing bar where you lose all concept of time, the bartender will provide; - local Tomo Houmeishu-based (distilled spirits with medicinal herbs) special cocktails - Hiroshima's Craft Gin - selected wines.
[Japanese/Western Original Dinner Course] produced by the master chef of Migiwatei Ochi Kochi (sister hotel) is available only for our overnight guests with a reservation in advance.
[Shiomachi Morning Service] is also available for our overnight guests with a reservation in advance (Bacon and Eggs / 3 kinds of bread / Yogurt / Salad / Fruits / juice or coffee).
Our overnight guests have the privilege to make Hot-Spring visits to Ofutei and Keishokan Sazanamitei.

Enjoy the luxurious large bath and the beautiful view of numerous small islands of Seto Inland Sea from the open-air roof-top bath at Ofutei. Keishokan hogshead cypress bathtub and boat-shaped bathtub is also unique and worth enjoying.
